The Pinnacle of the Scientist-Practitioner Model. The PhD program in Clinical Psychology at Cyprus Health and Social Sciences University (CHSSU) aims to cultivate “Doctors of Philosophy (PhD)” capable of producing universal knowledge in understanding, assessing, and treating psychopathology. Our program prepares research-oriented leaders who can develop new intervention methods for complex mental health challenges, internalize ethical values, and specialize in evidence-based therapies. To apply for our doctoral programs at CHSSU, candidates are required to submit the following documents:
Bachelor’s Degree: A valid Bachelor’s diploma and official transcripts for each completed academic term/year.
Master’s Degree: A valid Master’s diploma (with thesis) and official transcripts for each completed academic term/year.
Turkish Language Proficiency: Candidates applying for PhD programs taught in Turkish must provide evidence of advanced Turkish language proficiency. Candidates who cannot provide a valid exemption document will be required to take the CHSSU Turkish Proficiency Exam held on campus.
Identification: A scanned copy of a valid international passport or birth certificate.
Curriculum Vitae (CV): An up-to-date CV highlighting academic and professional background.
Research Proposal: A comprehensive PhD research proposal outlining the intended area of study.
