The Department of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation at Cyprus Health and Social Sciences University (CHSSU) operates with a contemporary and holistic educational approach aimed at improving individuals’ quality of life, supporting functional independence, and making healthy living sustainable. Our department aims to train proficient physiotherapists through a strong academic structure that handles human movement and rehabilitation processes under the light of scientific foundations, placing evidence-based practices at the center. Structured with a broad perspective ranging from preventive health services to advanced clinical approaches, our education program provides students with not just a profession, but also scientific thinking skills, social responsibility awareness, and international competitiveness.
At our university, physiotherapy education is a process built on a solid foundation of basic medical sciences, supported by intensive practice and internship opportunities. In addition to core courses such as anatomy and physiology, our students learn movement sciences like biomechanics, kinesiology, and exercise physiology by experiencing them in modern laboratory environments. While our curriculum offers rich content covering numerous specialized areas such as neurological, orthopedic, pediatric, and sports rehabilitation, it provides our students with one-on-one case analysis and clinical problem-solving competencies. Furthermore, we aim to bring our students’ cultural competence and personal development to the highest level with courses in health communication, psychology, and foreign languages that enrich our educational program.
CHSSU Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation graduates, holding the title of “Physiotherapist,” possess a wide range of career paths as the most dynamic and in-demand professionals in the healthcare sector. Our alumni can work in public and private hospitals, rehabilitation centers, nursing homes, and special education institutions, or establish their own physical therapy and wellness centers. Performance consultancy in sports clubs, home care services, occupational health centers, and orthotics-prosthetics units are among the significant employment areas for our graduates. Additionally, thanks to the strong academic vision they gain, they can continue their postgraduate education to conduct scientific research in their areas of expertise and find opportunities to pursue an academic career within universities.

Application Form: A fully completed online application form.
Secondary School Certificate: A valid High School Diploma or equivalent certificates (e.g., O/A Level, WAEC, NECO, SAT, or national examination results).
Turkish Language Proficiency: For programs taught in Turkish, evidence of Turkish language competence (e.g., TÖMER) is required. Students without a valid certificate must take the CHSSU Turkish Proficiency Exam on campus following their arrival.
Identification: A scanned copy of a valid international passport or birth certificate.
For the 2026-2027 academic year, the annual fee for international students in the Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation Bachelor’s Degree program is 3,400 USD. This total includes the registration fee and VAT.
