The Department of Coaching Education at Cyprus Health and Social Sciences University (CHSSU) operates with a scientifically grounded educational philosophy aimed at maximizing athletic performance. Our program integrates the technological and theoretical dimensions of sports sciences through a holistic approach, aiming to train leading coaches specialized in a wide spectrum—from advanced performance analysis to sports physiology. Through our educational model that bridges theory and practice, students gain a professional vision to manage the physical and mental development processes of athletes in the light of empirical scientific data.
Education in our department is built upon a dynamic curriculum focusing on critical areas such as training science, biomechanics, motor learning, and talent identification. Students reinforce their specialization and performance analysis courses through modern laboratory studies and field applications, finding opportunities to translate theoretical knowledge into real-world sporting environments. Guided by an expert academic faculty, our program is designed to cultivate coaches who effectively utilize technology, think analytically, and possess strong communication skills to lead athletes to their peak potential.
Graduates of the CHSSU Coaching Education program are highly sought-after professionals serving as “Coaches” and “Performance Specialists” at every level of the global sports sector. Our alumni are qualified to work as coaches or strength and conditioning specialists in professional sports clubs and national teams, provide individual performance coaching, or serve as instructors in elite sports academies. They can apply their expertise in public institutions and private fitness or health centers, as well as take on strategic roles in talent identification and orientation centers. Furthermore, graduates aiming for an academic career can continue their postgraduate studies to contribute to the sports science literature through their own scientific research.

Application Form: A fully completed online application form.
Secondary School Certificate: A valid High School Diploma or equivalent certificates (e.g., O/A Level, WAEC, NECO, SAT, or national examination results).
Turkish Language Proficiency: For programs taught in Turkish, evidence of Turkish language competence (e.g., TÖMER) is required. Students without a valid certificate must take the CHSSU Turkish Proficiency Exam on campus following their arrival.
Identification: A scanned copy of a valid international passport or birth certificate.
For the 2026-2027 academic year, the annual fee for international students in the Coaching Education Bachelor’s Degree program is 3.000 USD. This total includes the registration fee and VAT.
